Can I use expired Ketoconazole cream?

I've recently had horrible breakouts of seborrhea. I purchased some Ketoconazole Cream 2% a while back and it expired in '07. I was wondering if would be affective or even harmful to use now?Can I use expired Ketoconazole cream?
It probably wouldn't have any medicinal effects left in it. Just get another presciption or get a refill from your pharmacy if there are any refills left. Maybe try an over-the-counter item. Can I use expired Ketoconazole cream?
I don't think it will harm you, but it has probably lost it's affectivness
