I have chronic ';heat rash'; all over and have been officially diagnosed with eczema. The only creams that seem to work have been Eladil that costs $60 with my insurance and hydrocortisone which messes up my hormones. Does anyone have any alternatives? It's winter and my back feels like a suitcase.What is the best over the counter non-steroidal cream or lotion for heat rash?
triamcinolone is going to be the strongest topical steroid for the money. It requires a prescription but that route is usually cheaper than the OTC avenue anyway. If you must go OTC, hydrocortisone 10% is the best you are gonna get. If itching and/or pain is still a problem get a combo product with benzocaine or menthol. Hope this helps.
