What kind of diaper rash cream do you use?

I have had three babies now and I am yet to find a diaper rash cream I really like.. some of them don't seem to make any difference, some are so stuck on they don't come off even in a bath etc.. What kind do you use? Do you like it? Does it seem to actually help?

Note I do change my baby very frequently and she doesn't actually have a rash sometimes she is just a bit red and seems irritated when I wipe her. I just want to know what other parents have used and they like. Thank you! What kind of diaper rash cream do you use?
I use the huggies brand of diaper rash. That seems to work the best for me! I have tried many, many brands and I have had a hard time as well.

I understand about changing your babies, they can get red or rashes even if you change them every time they go!What kind of diaper rash cream do you use?
I only use plain vaseline. When ';airing them out'; doesnt work alone, they just need a barrier to keep more moisture from being against the skin and vaseline does just that without being difficult to get back off and making a huge mess.
i find just plain cornstarch works wonders. any its only $1 for a big box.
My daughter is the same way I have tried palmers but cream, and baby powder, I alternate from cream to powder every change it helps some, mostly I things its just sensitive skin
I only use corn starch and vaseline. I have every brand of diaper cream and none of it works as good for me as these two do. And I stopped buying baby wipes and either use a wet washcloth or the Nice N Easy hypoallergenic adult cleansing cloths. They apparently smell like roses, but I hate the smell of them..they really work better for me though. My daughter must have super sensitive skin.

I use corn starch instead of diaper cream. Somehow it dries the rash out so much faster than the cream. And if my daughter has really really bad rash with some blisters from food that didn't agree with her, I just put on a ton of vaseline to protect her skin from it.
I use the pinxav on my 7 week old. I love it. It does help her when she has a diaper rash. Right when you put it one if you rub it in on your hands when you wash them it will not come off very easily. But after it has been on the baby until the next diaper change it will come off without a problem.
Desitin and a cream called Butt Paste works great. I have also used bag balm, and that's amazing. It's more like vaseline, and works so well. ONe of my babies was just a little red all the time, and I used bag balm and it helped. You can get it at wal mart, it's in a green square tin, and is about $5.00, but it will last for years!!! ONe tin lasted through three of my babies, and they were at least 2 years apart. Good luck and GOd Bless.
I use Desitin cream. It also comes in the ';original'; desitin, which I think is very difficult to wash off. It's stickier, and I have a busy baby who likes to be ';helpful'; during diaper changes, so I like the cream because it wipes off my hands quicker and it's easier to get off little hands before they dart into his mouth or into the hair.

A tip on diaper rash... When we started out with diapers, we used Pampers swaddlers. My son got the worst diaper rash I have ever seen... big red blisters all over the pubic bone area, and I knew it was painful even if he didn't cry much. He was still a newborn at that point. As soon as that pack ran out, I went to the store and they were out of Swaddlers so I picked up Pampers Baby-Dry. We've experimented with several brands of diapers since then... Huggies, Luvs, and a few off-brands, but the only brand that's never given him diaper rash is the Baby-Dry because it absorbs like a maxi pad and pulls the moisture away from the skin. It's now the only thing I put him down to sleep in since he does sleep through the night and that means a very wet diaper in the morning. He hasn't gotten diaper rash since I completely switched, and that has been over 3 months ago. I won't use anything else for any of my future children. I have the Desitin, but now I hardly have to use it.

And no, I don't work for Pampers. :-)
destin is the number one cream or you can use a@d cream also dont buy cheap like the saying goes you get what you pay for
You might need to re-think the brand of baby wipes you use. Your kids maybe having a bad reaction to them.

I used Butt-Cream. It's in a yellow tube and it's fantastic!! I had the same problem with my kids. Yes~that's what its called!!
Boudreau's(sp?) Butt Paste is good, it has a natural color and smell, and heals rash in one dose....also balmex has worked for me
I don't because I don't use wipes, disposable diapers or any other weird chemicals. The cloth diapers with a wool cover, naked time and plain water washes keep my baby's butt clear. Sometimes I will use a spray with witch hazel, lavender oil, tea tree oil and other stuff, but I really don't need to.

Green haters. If you don't use a bunch of petroleum based products with artificial fragrances and harsh detergents, you'll have healthier skin. Try it for yourself if you don't believe me.
Try some bag balm my daughter was always having diaper rash. It will work when all else fails.
Desitin Original, the best for me, and I gave everysingle one a try...you have to find the one that suits your baby best
I tried Balmex for a few days and it wasn't helping so I switched to Desitin Creamy this morning and its already looking better after using it today. So I think desitin will be my fav.
I like to use Vaseline. It seems to heal them faster, but I also noticed vaseline likes to make the diaper fall apart. Vaseline does not make my son scream when he's got a bad rash. Other times I do use Desitin. It works, but when his rash gets bad he screams when I put Desitin on him.
Triple Paste.

My kids (two and one on the way) both had really bad diaper rash. At first I thought it was cheap diapers, then I realized that it was yeast and while the prescription medication ointment did work well, it dried out their little butts too much! My pediatrician recommended Triple Paste (it's over the counter, if you can't find it in the baby section of your store, go to the pharmacy and ask them to order it). Nothing works better than Triple Paste, believe me, I have tried them all! The Triple Paste is a little more expensive, but it is so worth it for you and your baby!
Poor baby! Make sure that you are cleaning the area real good %26amp; give a bath once a day. You can used wipes if their putts haven't any broken or red skin. If the rash is bad used a nice warm wash cloth %26amp; dry the area. Then use desitin. It only works good if the area is clean. Wipes are harsh on rashes.
Desitin works great eliminates redness quickly =)
I like one called Butt Paste. I know it sounds gross and when you put it on it seems really gross but it works really well.
When my daughter was a baby she had really sensitive skin and strong urine. The only way to keep her rash free was to give her at least 1 water bottle a day (to dilute the ammonia in her urine) and use cornstarch instead of powder. For extremely sensitive skin (or if there is already a rash present), you might want to consider a moisture barrier. It doesn't have to be an expensive brand, vaseline works fine. Also get rid of the baby wipes and use a clean wet washcloth.
I have used Balmex on my two sons. I also sprinkle a bit of powder on them if the rash seems bad. Balmex has always done the trick for me and I would recommend it. If the rash is small, one application does the trick. If the rash is bad, then usually a day (two at the most) and the rash is gone. Good Luck.
