What OTC cream can be used for chlorine rash on 15 mo old?

Ugh. We went to a splash park on Friday and by Monday, my 15 month old broke out in a rash that looks like chicken pox - but the pediatrician said its a 'nonspecific allergic reaction'. Im going to guess she is sensitive to the chlorine in the water - so... what over the counter products can I use on her to make the rash go away faster? (The pediatrician didnt reccommend anything because my hubby took our baby to the doc and forgot to ask.)What OTC cream can be used for chlorine rash on 15 mo old?
I use Aquaphor on my boy on just about every thing that shows up. I have a friend who's a nurse and said that is the best all curring cream out there. It's about $7 a tube but it lasts a long time. You can find it in the baby isle in the grocery stores or at baby's r us. Hope that helps! What OTC cream can be used for chlorine rash on 15 mo old?
Just one side note my son was diagnosed (similar symptoms, same diagnosis) with the non specific rash also and after many changes at our house from detergent to cleaning supplies, we went to another doctor and found out it was fifths disease (a childhood virus similar to chicken pox). You might want get a second opinion if the symptoms do not go away. As for a chlorine rash that would be a irritant to the skin so you would want to sooth the irritation to the skin with things like aloe and a moisturizing lotion. Good Luck
also, if it is a little painful, try an aveeno pack, or bath.
LOL about the hubby- He will learn. I would suggest going to a drug store and asking a pharmacist if some hydrocortisone cream would be to much. You can also use desitin.
Hydrocortisone cream is perfect for this type of thing. Be sure to follow package directions and only use as much is as needed.

Also, Creamy Vasaline is great for just about any type of rash, itchiness, dry skin, etc.
