Diaper rash cream?

my 4 year old son has a bad rash on his bottom is diaper rash cream the most effective thing to use or is there something better for older kids?Diaper rash cream?
Just make sure the area is clean and dry.

And sure, try some A%26amp;D ointment (as opposed to Desitin); it should help clear it up in a couple of days. If not, make an appointment with the pediatrician...he may need something a little more specialized.Diaper rash cream?
It depends on what the rash is from? If it is a yeast infection then an antifungal cream is needed but if it not a yeasty type rash then using zinc oxide or any other diaper rash ointment is fine try. If you are not sure what kind of a rash it is then get it checked out before you start using ointment on it.
diaper rash cream and corn starch works best. luck
I never used diaper rash cream. My daughter had terrible diaper rash one time so I went to the grocery store, bought an aloe leaf, put it in the fridge to make it cool, cracked it open, slathered it on her. Viola - by next diaper changing it was almost completely gone.
why would a 4 year old have a rash on his bottom?? unless it's from diapers, i wouldn't suggest using it.
I sowore by A%26amp;D ointment the one with the yellow and brown label it is the best!
I believe in most cases, no.Since the rash is already there, you should use plain ole' Vaseline or petroleum jelly.Your child might have sensitive skin.It might take a while, but it works. It has worked for 3 out of 6 of mine.
My kids are around that age,if they happen to get a rash I always use A%26amp;D Ointment,it works fine!
well, I am assuming your 4 year old is not wearing diapers.....this time of year it could be eczema or just plain old winter dry skin. I would use baby aveeno oatmeal lotion. It is great for eczema or just dry skin.

If it is really from a diaper, i have always loved balmex, usually works in a day or two.
